Studio furniture speaks in many ways. The warmth and allure of handcrafted furniture is irresistible. It is through colors, textures, forms, functions, images, and ideas that great furniture enriches daily life. Well-designed furniture made from quality materials contributes so much to an interior. It offers both ease and order in function, and contributes energy and depth to the overall experience of a space. Evolving from traditions cultivated through centuries of craftsmanship, we offer clients something very special, made locally in the Hudson Valley. Uninterested in mass production, this furniture is made one piece at a time in pursuit of excellence, and innovation of design. We take great pride in our work, and make each piece with integrity. We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Rhinebeck, New York, 2013

Hudson Valley Furniture Makers joined with Artrider for the inaugural 2013 Hudson Valley Arts Festival at Rhinebeck to showcase an exhibition and sale of the finest furniture this area has on offer.

The HVFM’s were pleased to meet and talk with so many of you who were interested in custom furniture. It is with pride that we are able to answer the question that was often asked with, “Yes, we can make that!”. As custom furniture makers, we are only able to display a small portion of the furniture we make. But our talents allow us to make almost anything you desire and our artistic sensibilities help create beautiful and lasting furniture. It doesn’t surprise us that you may have been looking for something you did not see, and yes we can work together to meet your desires.

To those whom we met for the first time over the weekend, we would like to speak with you again about the projects you are considering. The process of commissioning a piece of furniture is an intimate endeavor requiring much communication resulting not only with a unique piece, but a lasting relationship with it’s maker.

Thanks to Stacey Jarit, director and founder of Artrider for working with our group and providing such a beautiful space to display our furniture; to all those who spent time speaking with the HVFM members, and for all the positive comments our furniture received.
