Jeff Johnson maintains a woodworking studio an a turn of the century fire house in Poughkeepsie New York. Producing contemporary, one of a kind pieces of furniture that range from functional objects to pieces that blur the lines between furniture and sculpture. His undergraduate and graduate work were done at San Diego State University and U Mass Dartmouth, respectively. Jeff’s work has been included in several books and publications, as well as, been exhibited both regionally and nationally. In addition he teaches woodworking and design at SUNY New Paltz, in New Paltz New York. Jeff is a member of the Hudson Valley Furniture Makers, the Furniture Society and the Visual Poets.
